Bag Packing - In December we will be looking for volunteers from both the junior and senior sections of the club to help pack bags in a local supermarket to raise money for the club.
Casino Night - March 2009, more details to follow
Wootton Bassett Carnival - After the success of the 2008 carnival we will be looking to enter the event again in May 2009. Please contact one of the social committee if you can help in any way. All ideas, skills, donations, equipment, etc. will be gratefully accepted.
Sponsored Funraiser - We are investigating the possibility of running a sponsored event to raise money for the club. Ideas include a sponsored "Row the English Channel" or "Cycle Lands End to John O' Groats" using exercise bikes or rowing machines. Any other ideas, or assisstance would be gratefully received.
3 Peaks Challenge - June 2009. Please contact one of the social committee if you are interested in taking part, or helping out.
Half Marathon - A few of us will be running a half marathon in 2009 in order to raise money for the club. Please let us know if you would like to take part, or sponsor us.

Good News - Vicci Green has managed to persuade CROSBY & LAWRENCE Sports Shop of 67 High Street, Marlborough to give all members a 10% discount on sports equipment purchase there. They now have a list of all players’ names – you just have to confirm your name when buying.
Personal Insurance - The Hockey Club would like to remind all players that, although we pay a large premium for our insurance, the actual insurance cover that we receive for injury may not be as comprehensive as a personal policy. Therefore players are reminded that they may wish to take out their own personal insurance to cover them in cases of unfortunate injury.
Unwanted sports kit - Katy Cox has kindly agreed to try to sell on e-bay unwanted sports kit (and perhaps other items), with a small percentage of the sale price going to Club funds. If you have anything suitable to sell please let Katy know.
