Oklahoma and the new album!
Hello friends,
Sorry it has been so long since the last update, but things have been hectic in the world of the TMB! No excuse right?!?! Anyway, I wanted to share some news with everyone and ask for your support in the coming crucial months.
We have been in the studio (Thank you Bart Rose at Fort Worth Sound) over the past several weeks and are really excited about some of the new sounds that we are working on. We have recorded 4 songs to date and think it is by far the best material we have ever put out as a band. We fully intend to have this album completed and ready to release by October, but we still have a ton of work to do. I think it is going to be pleasing to everyone to hear the much more tame and refined songs and sounds of the TMB. We have really found our sound and are very comfortable with the way it has been playing out. One of the coolest things about the album is that we are producing it ourselves and that we are only having a few "aux" players come in for piano/organ tracks and things of that nature. So literally, what you hear is what you get. Pure, raw, au-natural TMB!
Our newest single is our sophomore effort for radio play and it goes out to the world this week! The song I am talking about is called OKLAHOMA and we are proud of our efforts here. OKLAHOMA is an idea that I had quite some time ago, but was put into action a few months back after our diligent efforts to break into the OK market and meeting some of the people up that way. The song was inspired by some of our now close friends and so the story goes... We were lucky to have the talented CHARLA CORN come in and do vocals with myself and Chris Stuart. Please be listening for it on your country music radio stations. Also, please call or email those stations and request it as well! OKLAHOMA.....coming to a radio station near YOU!
Thanks for the suport!

We are excited that the fine folks at HOUSE OF BLUES Dallas have asked us to come back for two dates in May! We will be playing there both May 1st and May 29th. On May 1st we will have the talented singer/songwriter, Nick Pagliari, there to get the show started. Nick wrote our first single "The Sail" as well as a song that was featured in the movie "P.S. I Love You", so we are excited about his tour through Texas and especially his stop with us at HOB. If you want tickets for either of these shows please write to us under the "contact us" tab here on our new website and we'll get them out to you. Feel free to come by this free show even if you do not have tickets and tell the folks at the door that you are there to watch the Todd Mankin Band! Check or calendar as new shows will be popping up regularly!
