Who We Are:
Festival League began in 2002 when a group of eager filmmakers, musicians and artists decided to create multi-media events to showcase and promote work which transcends the typical Hollywood production$, the radio hits and the high-priced art market. We constantly searched for work which brought audiences something fresh and alive - works of art. For two years, Festival League produced WellFair, free monthly events where hundreds of people gathered to witness the uprising of independent artists. Festival League then decided to focus on large-scale annual events: Atlanta Underground Film Festival and Animation Attack! Atlanta Horror Film Fest, DocuFest Atlanta, (Atlanta International Documentary Festival) In 2007, Festival League created an annual film festival in Costa Rica. The Montezuma International Film Festival is held every year in November, and has proven to be one of the largest events Festival League produces. The successful film festival in Montezuma has grown into an eight day, two city festival which will premiere in 2009 - the Costa Rica International Film Festival will be held in Manuel Antonio and Montezuma, Costa Rica, with four days of films, music, art and special events in each destination. As of today, Festival League has produced over 40 multi-media events. The group has grown into an unrelenting organization of talented filmmakers, musicians and artists who work year-round to bring you the best in the independent arts in the U.S. and abroad. So, who is Festival League? Festival League is YOU, and all the thousands of filmmakers, artists and musicans who have showcased their work at one or more of our events! We are always accepting film entries for all of the festivals, and love to include music and art in our events.
