ENTRY DEADLINES & FEES SHIPPING
Cost of shipping exhibition prints to the festival is the responsibility of the entrant unless a request is made prior to entry. Exhibition copies must be sent to the festival prepaid. The festival cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss of materials while in transit. Please use only plastic or bubble pack cases when shipping entries.

Due to the large number of entries received submission materials and videos will not be returned.
FORMATS A completed entry form and an entry fee must accompany each film or video. Entries must be submitted on 1/2" (standard VHS in NTSC format) videocassette or NTSC DVD. Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English or Spanish. In addition to your entry, please enclose any press kits, reviews, or publicity materials. If possible, send a menu-less DVD for screening. Programming decisions are made by the festival directors and our selection committee. If accepted, we will notify filmmakers by email. After acceptance, the presentational format will need to be in our office two weeks before the festival. Be sure to indicate aspect ratio of your film/video as well as any other special screening/presentation information we might need to know. We do not pay rental fees for submitted work that is programmed. AWARDS Although the art of filmmaking is not competitive, the Montezuma International Film Festival does give awards. The festival jury will present awards to films and videos selected as best in these categories: Drama Feature and Short, Comedy Feature and Short, Documentary Feature and Short, Experimental, Animation, "Best of Fest" and many more. ![]() The 2009 MIFF is part of an eight day celebration two of Costa Rica's greatest destinations: Manuel Antonio, November 5 - 8 , 2009 and Montezuma, November 13 - 15, 2009 |
