Maldito Bastardo! (Damn Bastard!)
Dir. Javi Camino - 82 min. - www.malditobastardo.net - email: info@malditobastardo.net
Almost everyone has heard once a good story while being caressed by the heat of the hearth. But not many have heard such a grotesque and delirious tale like the one which Fonsiño heard a cold winter night from his grandfather’s mouth. A real story full of violence and madness, filled with crazy doctors, savage rednecks, remote-controlled androids, mechanical pigs and deities of plush. A story where the truth will end merging with the inventions and distortions characteristic of a senile narrator, creating this way a totally unlikely whole.

In this psychedelic horror film, three young ad-men partake in a company retreat for brainstorming session for a new ad campaign for a popular household cleaning product called Clar-Actix. Things soon get confusing, disturbing and deadly for the trio as they head into the woods and encounter the free-spirited temptress Summer Day, who is destined to drive them apart. Producer Larry Fessenden describes this movie as "1960's psychedelia by way of David Lynch with dashes of Phillip K. Dick and Cronenberg."

October 31st is the scariest night of the year for everyone in Hobb's Ferry... Except Lila. For her, each day is just a little more frightening than the day before. Lila is a paranoid schizophrenic, and after a year in a mental hospital, her boyfriend has chosen to take her to his quiet family estate to spend the darkest holiday. Unfortunately for them, these woods aren't just dark and deep, but deadly, and Halloween will soon become a bloody fight for survival.
