CC Ryders Band was incepted in 2002 weathering the only constant in music & life -- that of change. Their "changes" have brought you the one of the best bands on the East Coast! The 5 member band specializes in Top 40 Country while incorporating a variety of Southern Rock, Funk and Blues. 


 Christy: lead vocals

Christy Woodard, JoCo native, began her on-stage singing career in 1993. Over the years she has performed along the eastern US opening for various signed artists including Lila McCann, Steve Azar, Ricochet, Gene Watson, and Brett James.  Local AM stations WMPM 1170 & WPYB 1030 have shown generous support for the artist. Her experience also includes 2 years with a country cover band (prior to CCR); winning the True Value Showdown's NC/SC championship where she had the opportunity to hang out with Steve Wariner. Christy was also a featured performer on Fox 50s 'Gimme the Mike' show in 2004. Christy started CC Ryders with her partner in 2002. She currently serves as lead vocalist as well as managing bookings, marketing & web-based support.

 Chad: lead vocals/rhythm guitar

Chad Thompson, a native of Wayne County, grew up in a family with interest in country music. He learned to play both the acoustic and bass guitar at an early age sitting in with his father's band. He has performed at many local shows and pageants as well as venues hosting low-key acoustic sessions. Chad helped conceive CC Ryders in 2002 and also took part in the band's opening for Ricochet and Gene Watson. He currently serves as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the band.









 Jon: drums/percussion

Jon Owens has 25 years experience as a drummer, touring and opening with many top recording acts. Jon has also been a monitor engineer and front of house engineer in many different genres of music. His enjoyment of mixing led him to becoming owner and studio engineer of MasterTrax Recording Studio in Selma, NC, working with many different artists in all types and styles of music. Jon joined CC Ryders Band in February 2006 and has been a huge asset to the band with his professional playing and laid-back nature!

 Scott: lead guitar/vocals

Scott Little has toured Europe with the band Leadfoot and played the States in AC/DC tribute bands, as well as the band Corruption of Conformity (COC). His remarkable style from the school of ROCK and stage presence are as pleasing to the ear as the eye. His sound gives the CC Ryders additional edge and energy that cannot be rivaled by other local bands. Since his joining in 2007, Scott has contributed some wicked new licks, as well as his passion to work on original material.









 
Melvin: bass guitar/vocal harmony

Melvin Carroll started playing the drums at age 6. By the age of 13, he was playing his first club gig at the Homer Briarhopper Club & TV Show. He remained here until age 19 when decided to play Southern Rock with various bands. In 1984, Melvin began playing the bass guitar with The Dalton Brothers Band covering North Carolina. With this group, he opened for national acts such as Neal McCoy, David Alan Coe, Billie Joe Royal, and Charlie Pride... just to name a few. After their disbanding in 2000, Melvin joined up with a couple guys and formed a small 'sports bar band' for a few years. Since the beginning of 2006, Melvin has been a major asset to the CC Ryders Band in his position as bass guitarist.








 Frank: sound technician  

Frank Woodard started running sound for the band in 2004, not very long after they developed and began to expand their horizons.  His contribution in developing the band's sound has been through their equipment/production.
