Alun Parry specialises in 'slice of life' musical storytelling that has something to say about the world we live in. (For more information, click here).

Alun is the founder and director of the Liverpool Working Class Music Festival. It is a celebration of political song which is only the second festival of its type in the whole of Europe.

In 2008 it played host to artists such as Roy Bailey, Dick Gaughan, Leon Rosselson and The Men They Couldn't Hang.

Alun is the founder of fans football club AFC Liverpool, set up for Liverpool supporters unable to afford the price of Premiership football.

Alun is the organiser of many music nights across the city of Liverpool, including the acclaimed Acoustic Slice event, aimed at showcasing emerging acoustic artists within the region.

Alun is an experienced broadcaster, contributing regularly for BBC Radio. He was the presenter of the BBC Radio 4 show 'A Sense of Liverpool', which focused on grassroots music on Merseyside.

Alun is a former trade union officer with NUPE and UNISON and is a committed supporter of progressive social campaigns.

He has two collections of his music available to buy. Corridors of Stone is a 10 track album. Liverpool 800 is a 6 track EP. Both are available

He is currently recording his forthcoming album, We Can Make The World Stop, due for release in Summer 2009.
