Last season's league was the biggest yet with 76 teams fighting it out to be crowned the 2008/09 WBHC Fantasy League Champions. In a close finish the Skivers' substitutions paid off as they just pipped The Internet Dwarfs and Ali's All Stars to the title. In the individual league 104 players scored points last season, but no-one could stop Kyle Barnes from winning it again, his 31 league goals helping him to a score of 156 points. This season there will be weekly updates (most weeks) posted on the website at www.wbhc.co.uk.
Remember, this is a bit of fun that will hopefully help raise money for the benefit of all club members, so encourage your friends, family and work colleagues to take part too!
There are a few changes to the scoring this season. There will no longer be any negative points for cards and there is a new a “win bonus” of two points for each player who features in a winning team. See below for more details.
The Prizes
1st place - 25% of the money taken and the title of “Fantasy League Manager of the Season”.
2nd place -15% of the money taken.
Top Player - Your name engraved on the annual trophy. (You are only eligible for the individual award if you have entered a team in the fantasy league)
The Rules
Budget – Each team is allocated a budget of £30million, please check before submitting your team(s).
Players - You may choose players from the men’s section, ladies’ section or both.
Formation - You must use a 1, 4, 4, 2 formation or a 1, 4, 3, 3 formation (GK, D, M, F).
Positions – Points will be allocated based on the players’ positions on the entry form. (Tip: some people change positions quite regularly, bear this in mind when choosing your team)
Substitutions – For a cost of £1 up to three substitutions can be made at any one time.
Team Names - Please keep them clean!
Points – Points are scored in league and cup games only (see below).
