For local bands always on the verge, success usually begets more success. For The Luxury, purveyors of anthemic rock with big stadium-sized hooks and an eye toward UK indie style, a recent opportunity to open for Coldplay at the TD Bank North Garden may have been the push over the hump they needed. It was a good match for the band, whose piano driven power balladry likely won them many new fans at the show. "I've talked to the guys and we're going to pretty much exclusively play arenas from now on we decided," The Luxury front man Jason Dunn joked with us recently. The band leaves on a tour of the California coast this month for a few more high profile shows. But first, a Boston date tonight.
