"Freedom Summer" is named after the Civil Rights Movement and specifically the Summer of 67, when freedom riders went into the deep south to register people of color to vote at great cost. It is in that spirit that the album was made. The title track captures the true essence of the Movement and how it's relevant to what we in the world are going through today. It isn't a political statement so much as it is a state of mind. This is a movement to return to a more organic sound in music creativity and thought. The Album is NFACT's solo debut not only as an artist but a producer as well, colaborating with several other musicians to give the listeners a unique prespective on what we know as hip hop today.
