![]() A little progress.
Added eye lashes and worked on the ear ring. I also added a little noise. It's still not looking right to me yet, but I'm going to take a break and come back to it later.

Saturday!!
Today is my favorite day of the week! I have the entire day off and I'm planning on use it. Despite the late start, because it's Saturday, I plan to finish the face construction and values. Hoping to move on to color and final composition. I'm also planning on making some cool designs from the flower and ear ring.
So this is about an hours worth of work this morning. Played with the fore head and lower jaw a little. Started the little bit of hair behind the neck, and I'm still messing around with the eye. As soon as I finish that I will quickly sharpen up the flower and ear ring. After that I should be done and ready to move on to color. Here is hoping it comes out right. Fingers Crossed Jefferson.
After this mornings progress. About an hour spent on this. I started to mess with the eye again when I shouldn't have. I feel like I need to shrink it a little. Tried to smooth things out a little, and I reworked the mouth. Still feel like I need to work on the forehead more, but that will have to wait until after work today.
Manly
I did this last night before bed, but didn't really get around to posting it.
All I did was darken up the contrast on the flower and ear ring, so that they will pop more. I also flipped the canvas to see any potential problem spots. After doing so I noticed my pic looked to hard. To manly so I have to really soften up some of these edges here to get a more female quality.
Still working!
This is about thirty minutes after work today. Hoping the thunder storms don't knock out my computer.
Working out the values.
I spent an hour this morning working on this piece. I converted it to grayscale so that I can work out the values, before I move on to colors. I really haven't spent that much time on the forehead yet. I plan on nocking that out when I get home from work today. I spent most of the time on the eye and lower head region, but I do believe that it is starting to look like Brandi.
Well got to go to work but I will be posting later today. Jefferson.
After thirty minutes
This is about thirty minutes of loose blocking of colors. Probably need to add a little yellow, but we are well on our way.
line art
here is the line art laid down.
Brandi 1
This is a portrait of Brandi Fitzgerald Clark, Photograph by Jessica Brown Lape. They both were kind enough to allow me the use of these photos. I plan on doing a series of four maybe three pieces done from Jessica's pin up series.
Here is my first step which took about seven minutes. Just opened up a canvas and imported the photograph. Once imported I created a gird and work space. Now I'm ready to start laying down my line art. Hope you like it. Jefferson.
