What's going on!

Naval war!

Didn't get to much done here.  worked on the background a little.  Trying to decide where I'm going to add more men and dead bodies.

Progress

I extended the canvas to capture more of the scene and worked on my main characters.

Main characters

I've added the main characters.  Not to sure about the guy hanging off the mast yet.  I know I'm going to have sharks and dead bodies.  Also massive gunfire all over the place, but I'm still not sure about how I want him hanging off that mass.  I'll figure it out tomorrow.   Well it's late and I worked all day today I'm calling it quits.
                        Till the next time..
                                       Peace..

The winner

I would like to thank everyone who voted for their favorite thumbnail.  We have a winner with 57% It is number 3.
Please stay tuned for more updates and polls.  Here is a more refined look of the pic.  Just starting to work on some basic elements of the piece.

Rework

I reworked the first one and added a fourth one. I do believe it is down to these last four.  I think I'm leaning towards number 3, but I've got to sit on it for a while.

quick color comps

Here are the three that are battling for the final spot.  I worked them out a little better and added a quick color comp.

3 possibles

I've picked three ones that I like.  Which was very hard. I'm still wanting to go back and pick just one more.

Thumb nails

All right.  I am entering another contest hosted by Conceptart.org .  This time Im entering the environment concept contest.  Which is A Napoleonic Naval war fare on the high sees.  It also has the option to enter in a Young Heroic Naval Captain concept.  This going to be a highly referenced piece and I have two weeks to do it in.
These are my thumb nail pics.  This is a bad image because I was working way to small, but I know what they are.  So I guess thats all that really counts.

       Wish me luck.
                       Jefferson.

Quick color comp

Borders?

Not to sure about these borders yet. Maybe I should just stick with basic black.
