Vacation Or Was It?

Hey Everybody!  It's that time again.....  Another edition of "On The Road".  But this edition will be different as it will be about things we did "Off The Road" on our Christmas break.  So get ready!  Here we go!

December 14th was our last concert and it took place in Augusta Georgia with the fine people of Pine View Baptist Church.  It was a morning concert ( blahhhh you all know how much I "love" morning concerts) haha!  We finished up the concert and it was great by the way.  I finally woke up after it was over.  haha!  Then we we off for our Christmas break.  So here is a quick run down of what each guy did while off the road.

Jerry Kelso - hmmmmmm.....  Not much!  hahaha!  Jerry and his wife Laura went to Nashville Tennessee to visit their daughter and grand daughter.  Of course #2 lives in his own world so I am sure he had fun in lala land.  He did make it back the the big city of Bladenboro North Carolina so that was good.

David Hester - David got to do alot of carpentry work.  He is a very good carpenter and all around handy man.  I call him if I need something done!  He worked on his house some and has been really busy doing some construction type work at
Serenade Studio's where we record some of our projects.  He spent time with family also and had a great Christmas!

Eric Dove - Eric and his wife Melissa flew to Maine to visit Melissa's family after Christmas.  He doesn't like to fly at all but suprisingly he got on the plane and toughed it out.  Other than that I think he went hunting for whatever is in the woods at that time.  All I know is that I am ready for some deer jerky!  Hint Hint!

McCray Dove - Our fearless leader..... McCray spent time with his family and chasing those twin boys around the house.  Enough said!  hahahaha!!!!

Me - Well let's see..... I had alot of things going on.  Visited with family and friends and went out and ate about every night.  Worked in the studio a few days.  I had my annual "Uncle Jerry Sleepover" for my nephews and friends.  They had a blast playing all the video games and our traditional board game we do every time, Balderdash!  What a great game.  I even tried  my hand at Rock Band and sang a few songs with them as they were playing away with their guitars and drums.  That was alot of fun!  I cooked for 15 people on Christmas Eve and made homade buiscuts with my Mom.  We had a great Christmas all in all and even though it was a very busy time, it was great to have a few weeks off.

Now we are started a brand new year!  2009 will be a great year and we are looking forward to seeing you at a Dove Brothers concert soon!

Until next time!
